Leslie Cottage is located at the heart of the village of North Somercotes, near Louth. Idyllically situated for all visiting guests the village offers a host of attractions and facilities. Located just 2 miles away from the nature reserve of Donna Nook, boasting a beach, that is a must for all bird watchers and walkers. The new born grey seals pups are not to be missed during November to January. Within the village and within easy walking distance are two pubs, two restaurants offering good food and drink. A hairdressers, Two mini marts, post- office, Chinese take away, two places of worship. The village community offers a wealth of activities such as bingo, ball room dancing, art classes and regular village fetes. For the keen fisherman there are plenty of fishing lakes to choose from in and around the village, the largest lake being The Oasis with three lakes and plenty of match days, and is just 2-3 min from here. Other information on activities in the village such as shooting, walking, horse riding and golf can be provided or arranged prior to your visit. The Georgian market towns of Louth, Alford and Horncastle are all within a 25 mile radius, all superb for antiques shopping. If you are a motor sports fanatic then Cadwell Park is only 20minutes drive away. The historic city of Lincoln is only a 50 minutes drive away with the splendid Cathedral giving regular tours and daily talks. Mablethorpe has beautiful beaches and plenty of attractions for the children and is only a 15 min trip.
